Looking for something really fun to do? Become a Summer Camp Volunteer! DFRC is running a Summer Camp for 5-12 year olds from 15th-19th August 2011, 10am-3pm daily. Meals on Wheels/ Social Centre The significant increase in the services for older people means that this service is currently seeking more volunteer cooks and helpers with the Meals and Wheels and Social Centre.
Perhaps you have an area of interest which you would like to share e.g. heritage or a skill, we welcome volunteers to come and give a talk or facilitate an afternoon session with the Social Centre group.
If you have a few hours to spare, and would like to be involved in this very worthwhile service, please contact Liz O’Hare.
Volunteer Drivers Can you help? Do you have a D1 Licence? We need experienced drivers to drive a minibus (provided by Bantry Rural Transport) for evening services between Dunmanway and Bantry (other routes also being examined) on a voluntary basis.
